She’s Metro Denver’s Own Mary Poppins
She’s perpetually youthful, playful, and responsible. When you look at her, it’s hard to believe that Karla DeWitt has three decades of experience caring for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and entire families.
Karla began her journey of becoming an expert at caring for kids and families before finishing high school. She was the local go-to babysitter. Shortly after graduating she moved from Michigan to the east coast and began working as a full-time nanny. Several years later, equipped with lots of understanding and experience, she returned to Michigan, purchased a home, and launched her own business. For more than 10 years she provided home-based day care and a quality preschool program.
Karla is now settled in Denver, Colorado. At first she was helping several families with nanny-care until she was hired as nanny/household manager for one family. She helped run their home for eight years, starting with caring for the expectant mother, then their infant daughter. Karla orchestrated all things household, including meals, laundry and managing a diversity of domestic contractors.
Today, Karla is helping several uncanny families in ways that keep everyone happy and the household running smoothly. She is CPR certified and is currently being certified as a Postpartum Doula. She is skilled and comfortable working with children with special needs.
